So, here I am two days over my due date, and I am learning a very hard lesson in patience! It seems that as night comes, I get contractions and then as morning hits, and the day progresses they go away! At this point Katelyn has one week to appear on her own, and then we go in and pull her out…well not literally but the Dr will induce me in about a week. Hopefully we won’t have to go in and get her (c-section). In the mean time it appears I will be walking and looking at every wives tale about inducing labor I can find!

Here are a few new belly shots to keep people interested!

well, last night was interesting. From about 10:00 to 1:00am I was having contractions. By around 11:30 they were getting stronger, but they weren’t constant in their timing. My lower back started hurting so I started pacing the hallway. They weren’t painful, but they did start getting stronger than what I had been experiencing previously. At one point I thought Kately would make a run for the border and we would end up in the hospital. I took my mind off of the contractions by folding some of the baby clothes I washed earlier that evening. By 1:00am the contractions had subsided and I was able to go to sleep for a little while. Tossing and turning seems to have become an olympic sport for me. I am judged on grace (there is none), speed (or lack there of), and completeness of the turn. Sometimes I just fall asleep halfway through the turn!

Anyway, we have finally completed the nursery!! Everything that I have envisioned for the nursery is in place and looks welcoming. We finally received the outfit that we will bring Katelyn home in and it is so adorable!

I am adding links to 3D ultrasound pics and video of our darling Katelyn. The pictures are somewhat clear, at times you may wonder what is what, but I find once I can see the nose, the rest just fall into place! The video at times can be a little confusing as to what you are seeing or at least it was for me, but still very interesting. I must admit she wasn’t to entertaining and for the most part laid there with her hand over her face, but she’s our darling Katelyn!

Finally, we get around to taking some pictures of my belly. Only took 9 months, but now we have some shots and I can finally scrapbook them!

I also got around to taking some snap shots of the nursery. We went with “Winnie the Pooh” theme before we found out we were having a girl. The nursery looked really plain at that point, but as soon as we knew we were having a girl I went right out and started looking at all things pink. We knew what we would name the baby if it was a girl, Katelyn, so as soon as I knew I went out and got the supplies to create the hanging letters above the crib. Then I found wonderful pink “Winnie the Pooh” material to make a cute valance out of and add some color to the room. The room is so wonderful to just sit in and imagine our little bundle of joy laying in the crib.
